Last night (or early this morning) somewhere in Los Angeles, Rob attended a cocktail party following the press conference where his infamous Dior Homme fragrance ad was revealed. The ad is exclusive to Europe and Asia but sadly that excludes the UK (and China & Japan)- sobs :’(
And dying here, Led Zepplins Whole Lotta Love is the theme for this ad! as per @Whybee1

Robert Pattinson has officially been announced as the face of Dior Homme. The ad will run with the title ’1000 Lives’!
After months of speculation about the star’s rumoured partnership with the brand, the House of Dior has released an official statement today confirming the campaign.
They said: ‘The House of Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.’
The statement then goes on to praise Rob’s successful career in a number of movies, saying: ‘Since his first notable role in 2005 in the fourth Harry Potter sequel, film star Robert Pattinson has more recently come to be known through his role in the runaway box office success, the Twilight saga.
‘He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as Remember Me by Allen Coulter, Water for Elephants by Francis Lawrence, in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as Bel-Ami, the famous Maupassant character.
‘In the ultimate tribute to his talent, David Cronenberg chose him to star in his latest picture, Cosmopolis, adapted from the novel by Don de Lillo. A striking role as a golden boy which premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
‘He has recently completed filming David Michod¹s The Rover in Australia with Guy Pearce and will soon be on set for David Cronenberg¹s next picture, Maps to the Stars. Following on he will star in Hold on to Me, directed by James Marsh and co-starring Carrey Mulligan.’
The first shot released by the fashion house shows Robert lookingutterly gorgeous in a stubby, blue-eyed close-up.
Robert wears a red checked shirt and looks perfectly groomed. Rumours in Hollywood have claimed that the campaign for Rob’s ad was ‘steamy’ and featured the actor surrounded by women in a bed. Here’s hoping that’s to come…
Dior Homme adds: ‘Today we are excited to announce that he will join the privileged circle of Dior faces. Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan).’
After fans on Robsessed voted the sex scene between the man Eric and Kendra in Cosmopolis Robert Pattinson’s Best Sex Scene of 2012 they contacted Patrica and were lucky enough to be granted an interview. Here”s a little bit of the interview but follow the links for the rest. Hold on to your panties ladies, this could get rather steamy!
ROBsessed: What was your diet like to prepare for the physically demanding scene?
Patricia McKenzie: Sadly, I kind of peaked before we shot. I had done a three week detox some months before, looked lean for a bit, and figured I’d do it again in time for the love scene. That scene ended up being pushed up a month early so in the three days I had to prepare, I did a partial juice fast, cut down on solid foods, and drank lots of water, just to feel like I was doing something. In the end, I don’t think diet really mattered, and in my experience as an actor, no one ever seems to care about any extra pounds on me or anyone else. What an actor is expressing is far more important and interesting to watch than how flat their tummy is.ROBsessed: Did you and Rob collaborate with David for the scene?
McKenzie: We had a rehearsal on set that morning to try some things, but finally David decided we would do the whole scene while making love, and all in one take which was quite a challenge. My first career was as a dancer, where you rehearse for 8 weeks before stepping onstage. Now, I’m always amazed at how much we as actors have to bring to the table, and be ready to improvise, and how fast the director has to think on his feet to orchestrate it all.ROBsessed: Is Xanax prescribed for the day to calm nerves? I’m joking
kind of
McKenzie: It would have been tempting to have wine before the scene! One of the first film acting jobs I ever had was laced with highly erotic content, and I was young, naive, and an absolute prude. To get through the love scenes they had to ply me with red wine and the director promised me, on the life of her children, that I wouldn’t be ashamed of the result. She was an angel, and in hindsight, the scene was very tame. The relationship of an actor to a director is crucial, you have to put all of your faith in their vision, so what made the intimacy in Cosmopolis really easy for me was that I trusted David completely. Rob was a sweetheart as well, very supportive and very professional. From a holistic standpoint, to mentally prepare for an intense day on set, deep breathing saves me every time, as well as a mantra not to judge myself positively or negatively, just to be. “Express, don’t impress” is my aspiration.ROBsessed: How many takes did you have to do because the shot is fairly long and uninterrupted. Was it difficult to be so wordy with such a physical scene?
McKenzie: It was a long, sweaty day, but I like being physical, and I like the heightened awareness everyone has on set during a love scene. Those days have a very different energy from the other days. Yeah, it was lots of fun and a delightful challenge to deal with unconventional dialogue in the heat of passion. I have played various lesbians on Canadian shows for years, so it was a nice change to be partnered with Rob.

It doesn’t seem like five minutes ago we were watching a 17 year old Rob in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Time surely does fly and here we are a decade later! Happy Birthday Rob, we hope you have a brilliant day whatever you do!!
Here’s a couple of very special video’s starting with one from Rob’s Isreali fans!
And….here’s a rather special one that brought a tear to my eye . . .
Using a photo from a press conference Robert Pattinson participated in at 2012′s Canne festival, the organisers have created this poster as part of the “Cannes Fait Le Mur” Exhibition.
Here is the original photo:
The exhibition has been held yearly alongside the film festival since 2004 and monumental posters are unfurled on the walls and canvasses are hung in the Rue d’Antibes to invite passers-by to delve into dreams and glamour. Pictures can be found all around town, providing an opportunity to discover a movie star each time your touring the area!
It’s that time again? Where sexy actors line up on the Marina at Cannes with the wind blowing through their hair….
Seriously, it doesn’t seem like a year since the last Cannes Film Festival where Rob was promoting Cosmopolis and getting 8 minute standing ovations and Kristen was doing her bit for On the Road. Both Rob and Kristen are listed as attending again this year, Mr P has quite a few movies that need promoting including Maps to the Stars directed again by David Cronenberg. Here’s the link for all the info on who’s going to Cannes which starts om 15th! Canal +
If you didn’t already know, Taylor Lautner shot a small role for this summers sequel to “Grown Ups”, the film is of course called “Grown Ups 2″!
A couple of weeks ago, Taylor joined his co-stars, Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, Kevin James and David Spade on a promotional trip to Cancun.
Sometime during their trip, the cast got in touch with their funny side, adding their own contribution to the “Harlem Shake” trend!
We thought it was hilarious!
Grown Ups 2 is due for US release on 12th July 2013 and 9th August in the UK! The sequel follows Lenny and his family who have relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school. Check out the trailer below.
KRISTEN STEWART will star in a second campaign for Balenciaga, it has been confirmed. The Vogue cover girl, who is the face of the label’s Florabotanica fragrance, has already shot another campaign – set for release in the autumn. A spokesperson for the fashion house confirmed the news to New York Magazine late last night.
Stewart’s relationship with the brand emerged thanks to her friendship with former creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere, and as the actress hasn’t been seen wearing Balenciaga since his departure in November – when Alexander Wang took over the helm – many assumed that her contract had come to an end. The 23-year-old also recently spoke out about Ghesquiere, saying how proud she was of him, and commenting that she “would totally run away” with the designer – prompting reports that she had severed ties with the French house.
No further details on the actress’ new Balenciaga campaign have yet been released.
Kristen Stewart has been named on a list of attendees at this years Met Gala on May 6th. Last year she wore the Balenciaga ensemble above and we see that Nicolas Ghesquière is also attending, will Kristen wear one of his designs?
In other news, here’s the IMDb filmography about the movie The Big Shoe to be directed by Steven Shainberg. Kristen will co-star alongside Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon and Elizabeth Banks. Filming looks set for June!
