Tessa is seventeen and passionate about life. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, she determines to use every moment, compiling a catalogue of what a normal teenager would experience, including losing her virginity and taking drugs. With the help of her friend Zoey, she sets the list in motion. While her family deals with fear and grief, each in their own way, Tessa explores a whole new world. Dakota attended the European premiere of her up and coming film ‘Now is Good’ in a shimmering Stella McCartney dress at the Curzon Mayfair Cinema in London tonight. The film, based on the novel by Jenny Downham called ‘Before I die’ see’s Tessa (Fanning) deciding to write a list of things she wants to achieve in her life before she dies of Leukemia.

Not the most obvious location for a movie premiere but lots of fans were pleased to be able to attend the event which included a Q & A with the Dakota Fanning in Manchester this evening.

The London premiere of Now is Good takes place at the Curzon Mayfair on Thursday.

The Costume Institute Gala (or Costume Institute Ball), known as the Met Ball and nicknamed the “Oscars of the East Coast”, is an annual ballthat celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. Each year the event has a theme, and the evening includes a cocktail hour and a formal dinner.
